1. 表示“需要”，作情态动词用，没有人称和数的变化，后接省略to不定式，多用于疑问句和否定句，疑问句答语表肯定用must，have to；表否定用needn't，don't have to
2. 表示“需要”，作实义动词用时，有人称和数的变化，后接名词、代词、带to不定式、动名词等。
3. 表示“需要”，用作名词时，可作可数名词或不可数名词。

1. speak 强调单方的“说”或“讲”，一般用作不及物动词

2. talk 强调双方“交谈”，一般用作不及物动词

①可接双宾语，双宾语易位时用介词 to 引出间接宾语。
eg：I told him my name.
He told his parents the good news.

②还可接不定式的复合结构作宾语。
eg：Tell her to come at once. He told the children not to play in the street. ③有时与介词 from 连用表示“区分”“辨别”等。

3、speak的意思是“说话”，作不及物动词时，通常指说话的能力和方式；作及物动词时，其后的宾语为某种语言。speak to sb.表示“同某人说话”。

Bob speaks Chinese quite well. 鲍勃汉语说得相当好。
Joe can speak a little Chinese. 乔能说一点儿汉语。
