I was told by the doctor to lie in bed for one month or so, which deeply frustrated me. On June 30, drunk driving in Nanjing resulted in five deaths and four injuries. Such traffic accidents
have not only killed many people but also ruined the life of many others. Harmonious society calls
for people to treasure their lives as well as their family and the society itself. Drivers must obey the
laws and say “no” to drunk driving.
To our relief, some laws and regulations have been worked out to punish those who drive after
drinking. However, I believe that more can be done to prevent things from getting worse. For one
thing, severe punishment should be carried out without mercy. For another, the sale of alcohol
should be limited in restaurants.
