我心中的志愿者
如果用色彩来形容我心中的志愿者，那他是五彩缤纷的，拥有所有颜色的绚丽；同时，他们又是洁白的，像冰雪一样纯粹。
志愿者的绚丽用他们的精神来填充，用他们的口号来体现，以他们的笑容来呈现，最终用他们的奉献划上圆满的句号。
志愿者这个熟悉的名字，它与历史邂垢，我与史书结缘；所以在不经意间，在已经昏黄的史书上我发现了一个名字——拜伦。他是英国著名诗人，但是他却英年早逝，而且是牺牲在匈牙利革命的战场上。是什么让这位年轻的诗人身死异国他乡？是正义、是自由、是奉献，因为他是一个无私的“国际战士”！为了匈牙利人民的革命与自由，他与其他参加“国际人道主义援助”的人一道奔赴战场，用自己的鲜血与生命来换取匈牙利人民的自由与幸福。我想，在名义上，他虽然不是“志愿者”而是“国际战士”，但是他的的确确是一个无私奉献的志愿者。因为他生活在那个资产阶级革命的年代，活跃在国际舞台上，只身在枪林弹雨的战场中，对匈牙利人民的革命进行了人道主义的援助，用生命填充了志愿者“奉献、友爱、互助、进步”的精神。
不管时代怎样发展，世界如何变化，在我们的身边总是活跃着这样的一群人。他们的名字在我们的耳际回荡，那就是“志愿者”。
在敬老院里，总是有一些人，他们按时来到这里，带着灿烂的微笑与老人们聊天打趣儿，帮老人们洗衣洗脚；但是只知道他们的代号“志愿者”，却不知道他们的真正姓名。在幼儿园里，他们为了孩子们的微笑，为了孩子们的健康，消耗着自己的时间与爱心，把孩子们的起居饮食安排得妥妥当当。在明星演唱会、在运动员比赛的现场，他们不顾酷热寒冷，不管饥渴劳累，他们始终保持着微笑忙忙碌碌。他们用微笑把志愿者精神展现得淋漓尽致。印象最为深刻应该是2008年北京奥运会上，中国志愿者用灿烂热情的微笑吧。
古都的八月天气依旧酷热，火热的太阳毫不保留的把它的热量射向地球。在酷热的北京，有一股股的蓝波在空中飘荡，那是志愿者，是身着蓝色衣服的志愿者。他们在鸟巢、在水立方、在交通线路上，他们在忙碌，在微笑。来自10万赛会、40万城市、10万社会的志愿者，他们以“我参与、我奉献、我快乐”为口号，顶着酷暑，忍着疲劳进行长达两个月之久的培训，汇聚北京。不计时间，不计酬劳，奉献自己的微笑，以使他人多一点心灵的滋养。北京奥运志愿者口号体现了志愿者的服务精神：奉献微笑、奉献时间、奉献爱心、友爱互助。 志愿者的绚丽由志愿者来喷洒，无数个色素汇聚形成了五彩缤纷的丝带。它打成结是一朵动人的花骨朵，尚未绽放却已是芳香扑鼻。它被微风吹起，随风飘荡，划过眼际。 不管志愿者的绚丽是花是彩虹，它总是以大地的黄色、天空的蓝色为基调、为底色。黄土、天空是单一的，没有复杂的色彩。只有纯粹的土黄和蓝色。志愿者的活动很多，志愿者的人员很多，志愿者的称呼很多，但是他们只有一个纯粹的目的：为了社会的进步，无偿贡献自己的力量。
志愿者在我的心中是一个冰雪世界里的绿色家园，在纯粹的无偿奉献的目的下，为无助的人们、为焦急的路人、为幼小的孩童、为——太多的人，撑起了一片希望的天空。 在我的心中，志愿者是一张微笑的面孔，用嘴角微微翘起的弧度，传递着人们之间的友爱，表达着爱的含义。
在我的心中，志愿者是一种精神，一种奉献、友爱、互助、进步的精神，不是某个活生生的个体，不是一个证书，也不是一个牌子；而是一种不灭的精神！

President Bush Discusses National Volunteer Week
THE PRESIDENT: Be seated. (Laughter.) Welcome. What a great day for the White House. I am pleased to welcome volunteers from around the United States who have given of their time to help those who need help, and we're sure glad you're here. Those of you today who perform acts of
kindness do so out of love, and you do so out of a desire not to be recognized -- but anyway, you're going to be recognized. We have the opportunity today to thank you, and the opportunity today to celebrate the difference that volunteers have made all across America.
I want to thank Jean Case, who's the Chairman of the
President's Council on Service and Civic Participation.
And I want to thank the members of the Council who
are here. (Applause.)
And I thank David Eisner, the CEO of the Corporation
for National and Community Service; Jack Hawkins,
the Director of Volunteers for Prosperity, USAID; Ron
Tschetter, Director of the Peace Corps; and other Peace
Corps volunteers who are here -- about which I'm going to say something a little later. (Laughter.) This tends to be an enthusiastic bunch, and so I would ask you to -- (laughter) -- keep your
enthusiasm in check for just a minute. (Laughter.)
The spirit of charity that is celebrated here has been a part of our character, our nation's
character, ever since before we were an independent nation. In 1736, for example, Benjamin
Franklin organized the citizens of Philadelphia to form a volunteer fire company. Isn't that
interesting? A lot of our -- a lot has changed since then, but the principle that inspired Benjamin Franklin is still true today, all throughout the communities in America.
Those of you who are here today understand the lesson, how you can gain by giving. You can
understand how volunteering can transform the souls, both who give and those they help. When you teach a child to read, for example, you not only improve their chances for success in the world, but you become invested in the progress of a young life. When you visit the elderly, you remind them that they are loved, and you remind yourself of how deeply we all feel the need for
compassion. When you help the homeless find shelter, you remove the pain of need, and rediscover the resiliency of the human spirit.
While there are many ways that government can help society's least advantaged -- and we try to do our best here in Washington -- it can never replicate the private acts of goodness and the ties of affection they create between Americans. And that is why our administration has focused on

志愿者小记作文 文／钟 荧[天津市英华国际学校高一] 不管别人怎么看，我始终觉得志愿者是一个很光荣的身份。上了高中后，我终于有机会亲身体验了一次当志愿者的感受。那是一次大规模的马拉松比赛，作为一名普通志愿者，我被安排到了距离起点三十公里的位置。这里已是赛程的中后部分，却又远离终点，所以热情的媒体不会守候在此，陪跑五公里的当地人早就不见了踪影，甚至连观众也没多少。可以说，对这场轰轰烈烈、热热闹闹的比赛来说，这里是，一个冷清的角落。 虽然我们这些绿衣志愿者早在五点钟便到了岗，可除了少数环卫大叔与民警外，最多的还是一排排的树与浅碧色带着水珠的草地。这里是城郊相接的地方，不远处便是大片新垦的农田。一弯小河不知从哪里发源，轻巧地流淌过去。这里没有玻璃筑的高楼，也没有红砖筑的平房，什么都没有，却又似乎什么都有。这个地方的妩媚，在这个城市不为人知。 坐在搭有一个巨大喜鹊巢的树下，看完了一整本小说，又陆续捉了蓝蓝绿绿的几只纤细轻盘的豆娘，一百米外的志愿者像喊山歌接力般地告诉我，比赛开始了。 在青青的草坪上打了个滚，起身整理好胸牌，再扶正帽子，我们这些树底下东倒西歪的“翠色护栏”迅速修复还原。 这一等就是两个小时，当等待已让人心焦的时候，一马当先的选手们终于到了。几辆警车与救护车驶过，随后是媒体全程录像的工作车辆。车队中间是十几个正在全速奔跑的非洲选手。他们啪嗒啪嗒地跑过去，汗水在身后洒了一地，义：被逐渐升高的日头一下子蒸干。 这些第一集团选手的速度太快了，他们匆匆地一掠而过，仿佛风的剪影，又如同黑色的闪电。几名中国选手稍稍落后，但也尽可能地咬住前面的选手。随着时间的推移，所有参赛的职业选手都陆陆续续地经过了我们身边。而这时，让我震撼的场面才刚刚开始。 当那些矫健的职业选手经过很久之后，远处跑来的是那些非职业但还是坚持跑下来的人们。 这队伍里有大爷大妈，已是满头银发；也有大学生举着校旗，更多的是普通的职员。我不清楚他们每个人是做什么的，而这似乎也无关紧要。三十公里的长路，渐渐融化了他们的职业与身份，人性如剥了壳的虾子，显出里面粉嫩绵软的善意。 我忍不住为他们——这些无名的非职业选手加油。我决心为每个坚持到这里的普通市民加油，从第一个到最后一个，每人献上一句。不管名次如何，他们都在这漫长的征途中超越了自己，同样值得我敬佩。 原以为他们已疲惫不堪，没想到他们的回应竟是那样热情。 当我向那彪形大汉摆出可爱的小兔子的造型时，那大汉也依样画葫芦，笨拙地朝我装可爱；那满头大汗的年轻选手脱掉了上衣，将整瓶水倒在头上、背上，却依旧不愿乱扔杂物，而是边跑边找垃圾箱；我喊“坚持——”，他们会心地接上“就是胜利”，我喊“加油——”，他们诙谐地接上“为美女加油”；我向他们微笑，他们微笑着调侃说这是“天津新形象”。有些政治书一般的话，此刻说出口来却朴实自然、亲切可爱?? 和每一个跑过身边的普通市民击掌相庆，有一种很美好的感情在心中慢慢涌动，就如同这青绿色的郊外，带些酸甜的橘子味，但弥散出的鹅黄边缘，却都显出暖意。 人在专注于一件事到极致时，会很容易忘记那个在社会上、在众人面前的自己。这时的人很脆弱，他完全忘记了什么社交礼仪，什么人际关系；但这时的交往也很真诚，彼此的投人、心血、眼泪都是那样朴实而温暖。这样的事情不止发生在那些成就斐然的科学家们身上，同样也正发生在我眼前这些跑在马拉松赛道上的普通市民身上。汗水的流淌让人性蒸腾尽了水分，让他们性格中的宝贵升华成伟大。这让我肃然起敬， 当最后一个选手跑过后，正午的阳光正肆意地泼洒下来。我站在路边望着他们，慢慢摘下帽子，对着他们的背影，鞠了一躬。
